[Recipe] Strawberry Banana jam

I love this time of year – because it's strawberry time! Apart from raspberry, There is for me nothing wildest than strawberries. This sweet, red fruits … and what about with them can be!

In the area there is a strawberry field to the u (and while snacking). My mother, the boyfriend and I were very diligent and have within a quarter of an hour 5 kg strawberries picked. They had to be processed then of course also. So do not be surprised about the strawberry burden of my coming posts ;-)

To save me the strawberry flavor for the rest of the year, I have processed a part to jam. Strawberry Banana.


700 g fresh strawberries
300 g ripe banana
50 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
500 g gelling sugar 2:1


Wash strawberries, stems and cut into pieces.
Peel bananas and cut into pieces.
Both puree.
Stir the lemon juice and the sugar and all mix well together.
The ground for at least. 3 – 4 Hours (or simply overnight) leave it.
Let in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring.
3 – 5 Simmer for minutes – stir not forgotten – until it gels.
Pour into jam jars, close this.
For 5 – 10 Minutes on the head, so that a vacuum is created- then turn over.
