Butter cookies...? How boring!
I thought, I would have to miss the shortbread recipe of my Grandma a new paint job.
225 g butter
130 g sugar
3 Egg yolk
1 Pinch of cinnamon
1 MPs. Baking soda
300 g flour
2 EL cacao powder
1 Pack fruit candies (without soft filling, z.B. Campino fruits)
225 g butter, 130 g sugar, 3 Egg yolk, 1 Pinch of cinnamon, 1 MPs. Baking soda and 300 knead g flour into a dough ball.
1/3 give the dough in a second Bowl and 2 EL cacao powder and 1 Add EL warm water.
Knead and form into a ball.
Both dough balls for 20 min. place in the freezer.
In the meantime, sort the fruit candies by colors.
Give then all like-colored candies in a plastic bag and crush with a hammer.
The light dough roll out and cut out at will.
Since I have no cookie cutter, that looks like a Christmas ornament I simply a glass used to push the shape and with a knife cut out the bracket.
With a smaller cookie cutter in the middle of the Christmas tree ball biscuit position and there cut out.
Now there are two ways to the cookie „fill“:
1. with the crushed fruit candies, so a colored, glassy layer. Simply fill the Christmas tree cookie in the middle with fruit candy slices.
2. with the dark dough. Just roll out the dough and with the same (smaller) Cookie cutter cut out, with the Christmas tree biscuit was gouged out and now just give into the dark biscuit dough in the bright Christmas tree cookie.
At 180 ° C for 10 min. Bake.
